As your midwife, I am both clinically skilled and deeply present.

I am there to:

· quietly observe and assess with minimal interruption

· offer guidance and support when it’s needed and wanted

· support your birth team to feel confident and involved 

· Discern when things are no longer normal and act appropriately 

Most of the time my role is simply to witness your birth unfold.

Your care includes:

• Continuity of care with a known midwife 
• Antenatal visits in the comfort of your own home
• Birth planning and preparation 
• On-call labour support from 37 weeks
• Full support throughout labour and birth with a second midwife in attendance for birth
• Immediate postnatal care in your home 
• Ongoing postpartum visits and support for 6 weeks
• 24/7 phone and text support throughout your journey 
• Loan of a pool and ‘TENS machine for your birth if you desire

You and your baby’s wellbeing are always at the centre of your care. 

Throughout your pregnancy, we continually assess whether homebirth remains the right option for you.

If transfer to a hospital is needed, it is done respectfully, with full consent and with continuation of midwifery presence and support.

Homebirth may be right for you if you:

· feel drawn to a more intuitive, physiology led birth 

· value continuity and relationship-based care 

· want to be autonomous in your experience 

· are seeking a calm, undisturbed birth environment 

It may not feel right if you:

· prefer more medical intervention in your pregnancy and birth 

· feel most comfortable in a hospital setting
